🇬🇧 Decoration of luxury and high-end hotels

Luxury and high-end hotels and resorts should never have merely functional decoration, as I have seen in some. The merely functional decoration is poor, cold, an invitation for the guest to leave as quickly as possible.

What do I call functional decor? The one where everything has a function. An example: a bedroom with TV, bed, nightstands, wardrobe and curtain. None of this is purely decorative, none of it exists for the simple pleasure of looking at. None of this demonstrates interest in keeping the guest comfortable in the hotel for as long as possible and wanting to return.

Perhaps hotels that use functional ambience aim to cater to the nouveau riche who do not value art. Even the newly rich are currently interested in art, so it is an ineffective strategy.

I'm Nycka Nunes, I'm a photographer and visual artist, and my professional career has been marked mainly by serving high-income clients. Due to my ability to develop personalised solutions for this client profile, the artistic photography projects developed for hotel decoration, with an emphasis on luxury and high-end hotels, take into account the location of the hotel and other characteristics of the decoration, as well as others information provided by the client, and seek aesthetically harmonious and artistic results, avoiding cliché images. In cases of hotels under development, it is interesting - but not mandatory - that I dialogue with whoever is planning the decoration to create harmony between the works of art I create and what the decoration team has in mind. Each type of decor has a different way for artwork and artistic photography to demonstrate concern for guests' well-being.

A project is, primarily, the creation of images (mostly artistic photographs) for all environments of a hotel unit. I also accept commissions for artwork and artistic photographs if the client only wants one image. With the projects, the intention is to create harmony and coherence, signing the works of art in all spaces and creating exclusive environments through art.

If you manage a hotel or chain of hotels, consider including a photography project of mine in your next opportunity to decorate or redecorate hotel units. I serve clients from almost all over the world for such projects. Exceptions are outlined on the services page, which is also where you can schedule an online meeting with me.

The invitation is also valid for those who have accommodation units for rent, other company profiles and also for residential properties.
