Today I'm going to talk about the art "The giant tree in a world of glass".
I'm Nycka Nunes, visual artist, and in this blog I talk about my various professional skills and I'm starting to write about my works of art and what I had in mind when creating them.
"The giant tree in a world of glass" begins with a reflection on what it is like to be a more emotionally mature, more intelligent or more confident person than most of those around you. The tree continues to grow no matter what. Glass, in turn, tends to break even when it impacts against another piece of glass. The tree does not have the power to repair the fragility of the glass and the glass does not have the power to stop the tree's growth.
From this image we can reflect on what motivates us. In a world where so many seek likes and followers, even doing absurd things for attention, it's worth stopping and thinking about who we want to be, what kind of person we want to be. And if everyone around us is glass, is it worth seeking their admiration, which is also fragile and fleeting?
The work took some time to complete and brought me several other reflections based on this contrast between the authenticity of the tree and the fragility of the glass. When thinking about the topic, what comes to your mind?
