A very common mistake is to think that enjoying following fashion shows, fashion magazines and buying clothes is having style. It is not.

Nor is it synonymous with having a personal style to dress up according to the labels that the press uses to describe fashion collections and seasonal trends. If you're the type who says "I have a classic style", "I have a boho style", etc... I'm sorry to inform you but you don't have style. Personal style does not accept labels (there are people who promise this because they read my content, but they don't deliver).

Considering that the target audience of fast fashion brands are late majority, if you like to buy from such brands you have no idea what personal style really is.

Developing a personal style requires emotional maturity and self-knowledge combined with qualified professional guidance. Most stylists help clients avoid tackiness and bad taste.
