🇬🇧 Friendships

Let's talk about friendships and how different people deal with them differently.

I'm Nycka Nunes, I've been creating works of art since 2021. Before, I flirted with art in different ways because I've loved art since childhood.

My newest artwork called "Friendships" is about friendship ☺️. I like to navigate human behaviour and create works of art that generate reflection. I understand that what is most common may vary depending on several factors (country, region, climate, cultural level, etc.) and I chose not to talk about what I thought when creating each work before, but I was thinking and maybe if I don't express what I think through words, some people will not be able to reflect on the topic and the objective of the work ends up having a lesser impact. So I'm going to start using the blog and social media to talk a little about my works of art.

Regarding friendships, there are people who attract them easily, others who repel them with equal ease, people who move away from their friends after they get married, people who cultivate lifelong friendships, etc., etc.

While painting, I imagined each large circle as people more open to friendships, with more "internal space" to welcome the individuality of others without canceling themselves, more open to creating connections with others. Smaller circles are people who are less open to letting themselves get to know each other and creating bonds with others. Note that some of them have no contact with other circles.

It is a work to celebrate real connections.
