I, Vanessa Nunes (also known as Nycka Nunes and, in the past, as Vanessa Versiani), have a degree in advertising and over twenty years of experience creating content and managing communities of followers.
I believe that expanding one’s repertoire is essential for developing creativity and critical thinking, as well as combating fanaticism, prejudice, and abusive and disrespectful behaviors. This is positive for both the individual and society. One of the purposes of this blog is to share my knowledge and expertise, and to generate dialogue with people interested in personal and professional development. For companies with this target audience, or with an innovative positioning, or committed to safety, well-being, respect for diversity, and combating abusive and prejudiced behaviors, sponsoring my work is a smart positioning strategy.
This blog is about fashion, beauty, gastronomy, and lifestyle. Below I’ll talk a little about my expertise on each topic and the blog’s editorial line in relation to them. In all these areas, I can showcase a variety of different types of products and services.
Fashion and beauty:
I’ve worked in the fashion industry since 1981, in various roles, and creating content about fashion and style has made me an image consultant with clients throughout Brazil since 2008, when I used the name Vanessa Versiani. This expertise, translated into this blog, promotes fashion brands, in addition to standard sponsorship and advertising options, when I wear clothes from advertising brands (under a personalized contract), preferably those using natural fabrics, in everyday activities, food photos and videos, photos and videos for lifestyle content (like going for a walk with the dog), or even creative ways to use these pieces in fashion content.
With makeup and hair styling, my main beauty interests, something similar happens, and I can go from a bare face to makeup that flirts with the artistic, from natural hair to hair dyed with semi-permanent dyes, using hair as a canvas to create art (I’ve done that!). I just think it’s unlikely anyone would make me wear wigs, hair extensions, or anything to have long hair, because long hair bothers me.
Gastronomy:
I’ve been baking desserts since adolescence, and I started making savory dishes more frequently from the age of 22. I enjoy exploring textures, colors, and flavors. The goal of this gastronomy content is to encourage people to try different dishes, with and without meat, with flavors from various parts of the world, and also to encourage young families to include their young children in food preparation and encourage them to have a more balanced and healthy diet. I wasn’t encouraged to eat vegetables and salads as a child, for example. I only learned to eat them in adulthood. And this contributes to my desire to help people without a repertoire of culinary experiences to make tasty and appealing dishes with salads and vegetables.
Lifestyle:
I’ve always enjoyed seeking knowledge, expanding my repertoire on topics of interest, and pursuing new experiences. This is reflected in my lifestyle content. The content can encompass reflections on self-knowledge, reflections that question the status quo; information and practical tips about dogs and cats; tips on relationships (romantic, friendship, professional…); tips on entrepreneurship, professional development, travel, moving to a new city/country, cultural tips from places I visit, information about Brazil, tips for those thinking about living alone, book and movie recommendations, etc. I allow myself to discuss a wide variety of lifestyle topics for someone who never tires of learning about various subjects, because those who share my interests don’t limit themselves to just one topic, although they may have periods of interest in a single subject.
Statistics and what they taught me
In the first four and a half months, this website received more views than my previous blog achieved in its first year of activity (twelve months). And in November, it saw a reach increase of over 100% (more than doubling its audience), reflecting my regular content production.
This says a lot about my ability to attract views when I’m interested in talking about a subject (or several) and about how much I learn from past experiences. I studied advertising with the intention of becoming a copywriter. Along the way, I realized that agencies weren’t the place for me. I found my place on the internet.
The blog’s growth in November 2025 compared to the previous month was 117%. The reach of TikTok content grew by 177.6% during the same period. On Instagram @nyckanunes, growth was 118.5%, and on @nyckathenomad (personal account), it was 33.6%. All these results were organic, demonstrating the growing interest of people in the topics covered on the blog.
My ideal approach to advertising is to focus first on promoting the brands that sponsor and advertise with me. Then I acquire products from the brand (either they send them to me as gifts or I buy them because I need them) and, if I like them, I open the possibility of advertising by promoting that company’s products and services, getting paid for it without losing the authenticity of my opinion. This way, I reinforce the credibility I’ve built over the years. I change this pattern for brands I already use and like. I insist on reciprocity in my professional relationships. Therefore, I prefer to directly recommend brands that, firstly, sponsor my work and are interested in what I do as much as I am interested in what they offer.
Who’s my target audience?
As a content creator: People interested in personal and professional development, expanding their knowledge, and seeing life from perspectives different from common sense. For free content, my focus shifts slightly.
As an advertising professional, I seek brands/companies aligned with my professional purpose and brands/companies that are interested in and value my work, even if they don’t agree with all my positions; brands that know how to respect and support different points of view without losing their own identity, which is the best form of inclusion.
Sponsorship of my work
By default, I work with the following annual content sponsorship formats:
- Simple sponsorship: includes the names and links to the websites of the sponsoring brands, displayed for 12 months in the blog’s sidebar, visible even on the post pages. The simple sponsor also appears in the credits of 48 TikTok posts throughout the year (on average one per week, excluding holidays). The social network may be changed due to bans or strategy (for example, finding another network more relevant).
- Main sponsorship: the name of each sponsoring brand and a link to their website is included in the site’s bottom bar, visible not only on the blog but also on all pages. The main sponsor also appears in 96 posts on TikTok and 192 posts on Instagram (96 on each profile) throughout the year (an average of two per week on each profile, excluding holidays). The social network may be changed due to bans or strategy (for example, finding another network more relevant).
All blog content is shared on my social media networks, according to the relevance of the content for each profile, which allows for great visibility. Furthermore, I’ve created a strong personal brand, so even if I’m banned from a social network or decide to stop using it, my followers tend to find me on other networks they also use.
Advertising
Sponsored content: In this format, I publish the content normally, and at the end of the text (on the blog), at the end of the videos (for social networks that accept videos), or at the end of the post description (before the tags, on other social networks), I include the names of the sponsoring brands in a format such as “Content sponsored by”.
Trying out products (or services): The offer should always be personalized. The product or service will be tested for a standard period of two months (negotiable depending on the type of product/service), with normal usage frequency for that type of product/service. Afterwards, I will publish a review including positive and negative points perceived by me, with authentic opinions. In this modality, the company must send enough products for normal use during the testing period, with availability of extra products if necessary. Products are not returned. Shipping costs are always the responsibility of the advertiser.
Terms and conditions:
- I don’t work with companies that send me a ready-made script to follow. I value my personal brand and my authenticity when communicating with my readers and followers, and I insist on making recommendations aligned with my worldview and my target audience. If expressing myself in my own words, respecting the briefing (when there is one), is not enough, I will not accept promoting the products and will only agree to promote the company if it is a sponsor and not an advertiser.
- Payment will be made in full by bank deposit.
- Blog posts are usually shared on social media profiles I manage where the post’s content is relevant.
- When it comes to experimenting with dog and cat food, I only allow my pets to try super premium products without artificial colors.
- Each sponsoring brand will be included on the website starting on the first business day of the week following payment confirmation (when it is credited to my account), and the contract will be valid for twelve months.
- The names of brands that pay for advertising are not removed from the content, except in cases of disrespect from the advertising brand or other breach of contract.
- Sponsoring companies will receive a renewal offer nine months after payment.
- I am not responsible for content deleted by social media platforms (I try to respect their rules of conduct, but they change). For me, once published, it counts as published content.
- Disrespectful behavior on the part of sponsoring brands towards me (Nycka Nunes) and my work will result in fines, even after the termination of the contract, and in breach of contract without reimbursement during its term. I commit to respecting the sponsoring brands, provided that they respect me and my work.
- This proposal does not create an employment relationship between me and the sponsoring companies, and the obligations of the parties are limited to the agreements made herein or through negotiations via email, in the case of customized proposals and proposals from companies accepted by me.
- By making the payment, the sponsoring or advertising company automatically agrees to the terms and conditions of this proposal and authorizes the use of its name and link to its website or main social media profile in the ways described herein.
