Artistic Statement
In a context saturated by visual stimuli and fragmented attention, my work resists the automatic consumption of images. I construct visual narratives that demand duration, reflection, and cognitive engagement.
In my practice, the image is not an endpoint or a decorative surface; it functions as a symbolic field in which fragments are reorganized, layered, and recomposed to generate new constellations of meaning.
Collage is not merely a formal device – it is a structural method. Fragmentation acknowledges the non-linear nature of experience. Layering admits the coexistence of times, levels, and perspectives. Recomposition asserts that every narrative is constructed and thus open to reinterpretation.
My production unfolds as an ongoing investigation into image, perception, memory, and identity. This work is informed by lived experience, cultural displacement, and sustained engagement with diverse social and symbolic environments.
Creative autonomy is a structural principle. The practice is not subordinated to external demands that compromise its conceptual integrity. It is a continuous, independent research process.
Supporting this work means supporting an independent space of visual reflection.
Summary of Background
I hold a degree in Advertising and Propaganda (Centro Universitário do Triângulo, 2002) and have extensive experience in the fashion sector, which contributed to the construction of my visual repertoire, applied language, and aesthetic sensitivity to detail.
My trajectory has also been shaped by geographic mobility and continuous engagement with different cultural contexts. Since the late 1990s, when I began using the internet as a connective tool, I have maintained contacts across countries, expanding my cultural repertoire and developing a reflective stance toward internalized references.
This combination of experiences supports my current artistic practice, initiated in 2021, focused on contemporary photography and collage.
Institutional Partnership Program
Nature
This program establishes an institutional partnership between brands and the authorial platform of Nycka Nunes.
It is intended for companies that wish to:
- associate their brand with an independent, contemporary artistic practice
- support the continuity of a long-term visual research process
- establish an institutional connection with an active artist
- participate symbolically in an evolving cultural project
This is a direct sponsorship program funded by the partner company’s own resources. It does not involve tax incentives.
Copyright remains fully with the artist.
The partnership is grounded in mutual institutional respect between brand and platform. It does not imply total alignment of values or positions; rather, it recognizes the coherence of the artistic practice over time and respect for diversity of vision.
Objective
The partnership aims to:
- ensure continuity of artistic production
- deepen aesthetic and conceptual research
- consolidate the authorial language
- expand the repertoire through cultural exploration
- facilitate qualified dissemination of work
- preserve creative independence
Institutional support sustains an ongoing research process, not only discrete outputs.

The terms in this document apply to the United Kingdom, the United States, and the rest of the world, excluding Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Italy, San Marino, and the Italian-speaking regions of Switzerland, which are covered in the corresponding language-specific pages of this website.

- Regular publication of images and reflections is integrated into the platform
- Institutional use of the partnership is permitted during its term
- Use of images for commercial campaigns requires separate agreement

From first contact, the following are addressed:
- understanding brand interest and positioning
- identifying the most appropriate tier
- verifying availability (including master sponsor limits and any category exclusivity)
- defining specific partnership conditions
- structuring final terms
Initial contact does not imply immediate commitment; it serves as a starting point for mutual evaluation.
